Gas price up by 30 sen?

I got a message at 10.30pm saying WEF from 28-2-06 petrol price up by 30 sen... from RM1.62 to RM1.92!

I asked myself... Is this one of those SMS?... hmmm... should i go or should i stay... got a few things to settle for work tomorrow...

Man... realising my tank is empty after not filling since last week, i better take the oppurtunity to fill em up! What do i got to lose? I still need to fill em! The only thing i have to lose is 30 sen! Better to save (safe) than sorry... hehehe

I filled all the way until my tank is really full! RM82... and my bet is if i fill when the petrol price is up, it will be RM90 and above... farewell to the good old days of filling dirt cheap prices! I remembered 3 years ago that my Waja's full tank around RM60... now around RM80 and tomrrow if the new prices takes effect it will be way beyond RM90 mark!!!

Brought my camera along as i know from the last time there will be lots of people going out of their homes in drove!

When i arrive at my usual gas station it was full... i was lucky as people were not aware of one pump being empty... me without waiting a minute got in a pump that people had to wait 5-15 minutes... Lucky me... and i took some time to take pictures of the huru-hara... After filling my tank... went to Petronas and they too were hectic... in the picture there are 5 more cars waiting behind the grey beamer...

Aiyoyo... I am planning this 10th March to go to Johor for a friend's wedding and visiting my brother-in-laws. I guess with this new price.. KL-JB-KL... petrol price alone will make me RM200 poorer for that trip! hmmm... thank god for in-laws... savings on accommodation! heheehe...

Here i produce petrol prices since 1990:
  1. Before 1990 - RM 0.89
  2. 1990 - RM 1.10 (Increase RM 0.21)
  3. 01/10/2000 - RM 1.20 (Increase RM 0.10)
  4. 20/10/2001 - RM 1.30 (Increase RM 0.10)
  5. 01/05/2002 - RM 1.32 (Increase RM 0.02)
  6. 31/10/2002 - RM 1.33 (Increase RM 0.01)
  7. 01/03/2003 - RM 1.35 (Increase RM 0.02)
  8. 01/05/2004 - RM 1.37 (Increase RM 0.02)
  9. 01/10/2004 - RM 1.42 (Increase RM 0.05)
  10. 05/05/2005 - RM 1.52 (Increase RM 0.10)
  11. 31/07/2005 - RM 1.62 (Increase RM 0.10)
  12. 28/02/2006 - RM 1.92 (Increase RM 0.30)

Boy or Girl?

A new frontier... for Kak Soffy

It was a surprise... well to me personally and to Eza as well... I must admit that Allah works in a mysterious ways... We Humans can plan... but they cant predict the future... if they can... it will turn out to be another Terminator!

After a year and three months we have had the joy growing lil Soffy. I had this thought since last month that has been bothering me, what would it feel like loving two kids? Will it be different? I have not satisfy myself in giving my love to Soffy. Said to myself... maybe next year will try for a second.

But now, i have to adopt loving a second... yup... thats right. Eza is pregnant. 6 weeks to be exact. Expecting Due Date... probably on 24th October 2006. Hmm... upon checking the calender... its the 1st of Syawal or another word... first day of Aidilfitri my daughter will be born if it follows the EDD correctly.

Today, Eza felt nausea... she called me up to pick her up at Menara TM. I was visiting Dr M for my shots up you know where Doc... when she called... Bang... i pening and loyar... can you pick me up? I said ok, but i will be late need to have a jab first with Dr M at SS2.

I forgotten to bring my medicine, so Dr M and i went back to TTDI to collect them. After that we picked Eza up and went for breakfast at Raju's in Jalan Gasing... been a while. After that, sent Dr M back and sent Eza to Dr Idris for her check up. For the first time, we saw our second in a form of a sarung. No fetus yet. But we can see some movements. Cool. I was overjoyed! It sank in for a moment that i am a Daddy, yet again.

the orchids Eza bought
After the checkup, went to KL to meet up with our clients, sent some documents. Stop over at an Orchid garden and bought some orchids for Eza. She bought 3 orchids. Hmmm... old folks says that if a pregnant lady likes to buy flowers, meaning anak perempuan... Maybe its a girl?... but the second one is giving Mummy a hard time. Mummy always got a headache and feeling a bit nausea. Some say, the symptoms of getting a baby boy... hmmm... could it be a boy?

I dont know.. again, this is in Allah's department and not ours to say... we can just seek for His forgiveness and ask. I am... but i am praying for the best...

Sent Eza back to Menara TM to collect her ride. She drove back home while i went to Kelana Jaya to send some documents. Saw MPH having a sale in the Kelana Sport Centre. Took advantage of buying some older Dan Brown books "Deception Point" and "Digital Fortress". Read Da Vinci Code... Damn good... and now i am in the midst of reading Angels and Demons. Another Damn Good book!!... I hope the other two is as good as well... Now i have all four. But his books is an interesting read. I'll recommend it anytime.

On my way back, called Joe and he told me theres some projects and he got some BQs for me to see. Without hesitation, i went and check it out. I hope if all goes well as planned, Insyaallah, next 10 years or so, i wont be without money. But i have to start saving tho. Eza will save for me definitely! Close to 6pm, i went back home to see lil Soffy... aaaa... the joy of seeing the lil one really is a stress relief!

And not forgetting to my sister-in-law. She too is going trough the same event. And to make things even more exciting, she too will be expecting sometime in October and most probably during raya! Hey, sepupu sama birthday! What are the odds? Again, Allah works in mysterious ways. I am just happy for Abang and Kak Noreen for this great news! (my first anak buah in my family!!) We have been praying a lot and hard for you guys. Alhamdulillah, telah dikurniakan dan Insyaallah, we both will be in the labor room but in a different country in the same month! October babies!!! Cool...

Will update more on Eza's progress... Watch this space... :)

Soffyya's first steps!

This is proof of Soffy's first few steps... she started walking by herself at approximately 1.30am on Mummy's and Tok Acho's birthday... Earlier at midnight, we celebrated Mummy's birthday at Istana Hotel together with Tok Acho and Auntie Aida.

One hour before Soffy can walk...

Actually it is a normal ritual for Papa and Mama's kakis (gengs) to have Karaoke session everytime when birthday or anniversary of their friends they will be treated to Karaoke sessions ad this time its Papa and aunt Aida's birthday so they would be celebrating in Istana Hotel... but since its Eza's birthday as well, Mama invited Eza for the celebration at midnight... we had to go home after 12.30am because its getting late for lil Soffy.

Tok Acho said it was the best gift for him this year!

Happy Birthday to Mummy and Tok Acho!

Seaventures... Sabah bah... Day 4

Seaventures Dive Resort

We cancelled my intention of snorkling on Mabul because we all needed extra hour of sleep. So we woke up at 8am for breakfast. Actually 8.30am we were awaken by ASP Fendi knocking on our heavens door to inform us for breakfast!... we prepared, gosok gigi and at 8.45am went straight for breakfast without going for the showers first.

After breakies... Uncle Mangsor wants to visit the oil rig turned into resort... Seaventures Dive Resort... we were like... ok... dengan tak mandi... and Eza with her seluar Yankee... went to the resort!

We arrived at the resort and there were a lift bringing us up. We were shown around on board and went all the way up to the sun deck to take a view of the whole place...

We could take a nice picture of our Resort from the Sun Deck

Uncle Mangsor showing Papa the islands that we went

After the tour... we were given some orange juice to freshen up. Below lil Soffy asking for some!

Gimme some Daddy!!

Relaxing and chit chatting...

We left Seaventures for Mabul to prepare our luggages for our flight to Kota Kinabalu... Gosh... will miss the place as it was quite fast... but i must say, we covered a lot in one whole day...

Room 113

We left at around 11.30am on Pelindung 1. It will take us an hour to arrive at Semporna Police Harbour.

Pelindung 1

We were greeted by local police in Semporna. Uncle Mangsor had to do an interview upon arrival. Apparently there were a murder case involving Filipino pirates who killed one of the Pelaut. I heard it was a young pelaut. The case is classified.

Our escorts

We had yet again an escort from Semporna to Tawau Airport. Again it will take us approximately 45 minutes. This time Papa got into the Landcruisers. We arrived at the airport around 2.45pm. Apparently our flight was reschedule at 5.30pm. We will be flying on a Fokker (a two twin propellar airplane). Our flight will take us from Tawau to Sandakan and then to Kota Kinabalu.

It was a short stop at Sandakan to load and unload passengers enroute to KK. We took the opportunity to go out of the Fokker because the A/C was not working well. Soffy was sweating a lot in the plane. So we all left the plane for about 15 minutes. I managed to take a photo of the plane before we took off.

Sandakan Airport

We arrived at KK Airport Terminal One at 7.15pm. There we were greeted by some police officers and our designate drivers.

Since we arrived during dinner time, so uncle Mangsor went looking around at the best Seafood restaurant in KK. I dont remember the name of the restaurant... but it was real good... We had our own private room...

The many aquariums

We met Datuk Kalimullah there with his family... The restaurant has many aquariums where you get to choose your fish, lobsters, prawns and crabs.. It was delicious and fresh!! For starters we had some sort of shells (siput) which i have never seen in Peninsular Malaysia.

The siput

The main dish was Ikan Kerapu steam, some Sabah vegies, Lobster (cooked real nice in a yellowish sauce), prawn cooked chinese style and rice... yum yummy!! Sedap!

I can still taste the food... hmmm delicious!

Once we arrived home, uncle Mangsor asked us what we would like to do? I was like anything, but i guess Mama and Eza wants to stay back and do some shopping in KK. Uncle Mangsor recommended us to go to Kudat and Tanjung Simpang Mengayau which is famous for the Tip of Borneo! Me and Papa said ok, we both go to Kudat and informed Faizal about it. He was so looking forward! So do we!
